Synopsis
Young inmate Adèle Charki (Manon Bresch) desperately accepts a bellhop position at the palatial Citadel as part of a day-release program run by the hotel’s all-powerful director Édouard Galzain (Melvil Poupaud). But shortly after arriving for her first shift, Adèle is thrust into a not-so-secret power struggle where ambitious staff, influential guests, and outside networks all fight for control – turning the hotel into a breeding ground of manipulation and betrayal. As her relationship with Édouard quickly morphs into something more sinister, Adèle’s grit and ambition are crucial for her survival as she fights for a chance to redeem her future.
Our take
Formidably effective, Privileges takes us behind the ruthless scenes of a Parisian palace, where ambition never sleeps. Driven by the magnetic duo of Manon Bresch and Melvil Poupaud, whose dynamic echoes the intensity of the central pairing in Industry, the series unfolds a climb that is as gripping as it is addictive. A sweeping story where impeccable service meets backstabbing, and where every step up the ladder is a high-stakes check-in.
