Serie: 6 x 40min

Synopsis
Requiem for Selina is the story of how Selina loses herself in the pursuit of fame, affirmation, and belonging. It’s a requiem for her soul, and a narrative lamentation on how the naive bullied girl with big dreams died somewhere along the way, in favor of her alter ego Celina Isabelle – the country’s biggest blogger and most dangerous role model. In an attempt to get revenge on her bullies, Selina accidentally changes the world. This is the story of the world’s first beauty blogger, inspired by true events.
Our take
Once upon a time… there was Selina. The first runner-up of the blogosphere, the first influencer, the first martyr to the web’s bloody fate. Humiliated, dragged through the mud, and into the icy waters of her lost Norwegian island. What if all it took to make a name for yourself and change your destiny was to be hated? With Requiem for Selina, directing duo Rikke Gregersen and Ole Sebastian Kåss revive the sweet nostalgia of the 2000s—from Britney’s hits playing on repeat to flashy velvet tracksuits—while taking us on a journey to the not-so-magical realms of Internet 2.0 fame.
